Brand Design Process
1. Project kick-off + research
After our initial brand discovery call, I initiate the process by thoroughly researching your brand to identify elements that will visually captivate your ideal customer and effectively convey your unique qualities that set you apart from competitors.
2. Initial concepts
Up to 3 initial concepts to be used in print as well as digital environment.
The initial concepts most likely will be hand sketches alongside a presentation deck with reference material. This process is done with 2 rounds of revisions where we’ll narrow down the concepts and select a winner to proceed with the digital refinement.
3. Digital asset refinement
Based on your feedback, I’ll team up with you to refine the final branding asset/brand identity, ensuring the design aligns seamlessly with your vision. We’ll go through this process with two rounds of revisions.
Once the asset/brand identity has been approved, I will finesse all details and create positive and negative versions, as well as small-size applications.
4. Final deliverables + master files
In this concluding stage, I will develop a comprehensive master folder containing all the branding asset files in both PNG and SVG formats.
This step is crucial as it provides you with a reference guide that you or your team can utilise, ensuring consistency across all future marketing materials and maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
5. Brand Application (optional)
Once we’ve nailed down your branding asset or brand identity, I can effortlessly incorporate it into a range of materials, such as business cards, packaging, print, digital collateral, social media assets, and beyond.

After that, I’ll send over the proposal for you to approve and sign.

I like to keep it simple. You’ll make a 50% deposit upon signing the proposal, and the remaining 50% upon completion of the project.

FAQs
What is included in a brand identity design project?
A brand identity project typically includes the design of a logo system, carefully selected typography, a color palette, and a set of visual guidelines to ensure consistency across different applications.
Depending on the project, this may also include additional brand assets such as patterns, icons, monogram or other graphic elements.
How is a brand identity different from just a logo?
A logo is only one element of a brand identity. A full brand identity defines how a brand looks and communicates visually through type, color, composition, and graphic language, creating a coherent system that can be used across print, digital, and environmental design.
How many concepts will I receive during the design process?
After the research and discovery phase, I present up to three carefully developed design directions. From there, we refine the chosen direction through feedback and revisions until the identity feels clear, distinctive, and aligned with your goals.
Will I receive guidelines on how to use the identity?
Yes. At the end of the project, you will receive a brand guidelines document that explains how to use the logo, colors, and typography. This helps ensure that the identity remains consistent across different platforms and future applications.
Can the brand identity grow as my business evolves?
Absolutely. A well-designed identity is created as a flexible system that can expand over time.
Additional assets—such as packaging, editorial design, or digital applications—can be developed later while staying aligned with the core identity.

testimonial
The new Windsorborn logo turned out perfectly, exactly what we were hoping for when we sought out Maria’s expertise! Super distinctive, elegant yet bold, and very modern, quite different from what most other agencies are doing. The creative process was really smooth, everything was communicated effectively, and all feedback was meticulously addressed.
The new logo has served us incredibly well, and we have had nothing but great feedback on it since its implementation. It helped set us up for an amazing year, so very much appreciate Maria’s part in all of that. Excellent work.
