Rotson Studios Creative Coworking Space | Logotype & Mural Design
Rotson Studios is a logotype designed for a creative co-working space in Fitzroy, Melbourne (Australia).
The name of the studios does refer to the original name of the building called Rotson Knitting Mills. I thought that keeping the name acknowledges the rich history of the building and also brings back to life the great signage in place, helping everyone to find the studio easily. Rotson lettering design is inspired by the original R of the signage of the building. The word “studios” is set in AW Conqueror Inline Regular by Typofonderie.
My partner and I opened this creative space in 2014 and we managed the space till June 2022. During these seven years, we gave its name, created a large-scale mural, we furnished the space, curated the studio culture and run its accountancy.
In 2022, the studio was transferred to Peter Tarasiuk who currently runs the space.
