Flamingo Textile Print Design

In 2015, I collaborated with Ema Hewitt on the development of a textile print for the debut SS14/15 collection of her Australian menswear label, HEW.

Design Brief

Ema commissioned this print with the intention of combining geometric elements with avian forms. She defined the initial colour palette, while I developed a second complementary colourway.

The brief also required the design to be scalable to 30% of its original size, allowing it to function as a refined internal detail across the collection — featured within shirt collars, cuffs, and waistbands.

The translation from vector artwork to garment was executed with precision, resulting in a seamless integration of the print within the final pieces
