L’hora del Vermut és tothora

For my first solo exhibition in Spain at La Panera Lleida, I created a couple of new illustrated lettering artworks which are representative of my Catalan culture. The first one is called Vermut.

Traditionally, Vermuts in Catalonia were meant to open the appetite before a big meal. I grew up having a vermut every Sunday before lunch. Most vermuts have a sweet taste so we combine the drink with salty snacks to balance the palate; like in this case adding olives and clams to the mix.

With this artwork, I focused the message on the fact that we can drink Vermut at any time of the day, and not only as an aperitif before lunch like traditionally.
